Inaugural Beavers Meeting

This evening, the Group hosted its first Beavers Colony meeting for many years. Everybody seemed to have great fun. The Beavers Colony will be meeting every Wednesday evening (half-term and school holidays excepted) from now on – at the Scout Hut, between 6pm and 7pm. So, if you have a boy or girl aged between 5 3/4 years and 8 years old, bring them along. Just drop us an email beforehand, at info@northrichmondscouts.org.uk (or use the “Contact Us” link at the top of this page), so that we know to expect you.

Some Early Diary Dates

With memories of the Christmas and New Year holidays rapidly fading, and New Year Resolutions one-by-one packing their bags and heading out of the door (well, for some of us!), it’s time to get some dates in the diary for the next few months or so. Further details will follow in respect of all these events.

  • The St George’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday, 27 April;
  • The May Fair will be on Saturday, 10 May. It’s not too early to be giving some thought to possible donations to the Tombola; such as bottles, boxes of chocolate, gifts etc. For those of you whose New Year Resolutions are still in residence, we would be happy to help keep you on the “straight and narrow” by taking any items in those categories that you still have left over from Christmas, and that may be sitting there providing unfair temptation!!;
  • There will be a Water Activity Weekend for the Scouts on the weekend of the 6/8 June. This will be held at Thames Young Mariners, in Ham. Places will be limited, as Chief will only be able to take 10 Scouts. Further details will be circulated in March;
  • The Family Camp will take place at Walton Firs on the weekend of 11/13 July. Further information and booking details will be circulated at the end of February.

All the very best for the New Year.
